STH(Halo Rockz):
Ms.jurni Rayne. I had the  pleasure of meeting you and you blew my mind. You have an awesome spirit and a amazing voice.
You have a lot of hats.
You are a song writer, guitarist, and of course a singer.
What makes Jurni different from the rest...
When did you fall in love with music?

JURNI:
You know, it's funny. I have always had a passion for music. I remember being around 7 years old and we still had a cassette tape player and recorder. I would record myself singing and then play it back and harmonize with myself. LOL. Then my brother would come in and rap and we would make up silly songs. We had that old school studio.

STH(Halo Rockz):
Have you ever been compared to an artist? If so who?

JURNI:
When people see me and see my guitar, they automatically put me in the soul category and I get India Arie or Lauryn Hill a lot. Then they hear me sing and they are like, "I don't even know who you remind me of."

STH(Halo Rockz):
Who is your favorite artist?

JURNI:
Man, there are so many great artists out there and I'm easily inspired by many. One of the first artists I remember thinking I want to be like was Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. He is an amazing writer, singer, musician and business man in this industry.

Do u remember the day you felt like you can't live with out music?

JURNI:
Growing up, I never wanted to pursue music. I sang in the school choir but I rarely had any solos. I was more into academia in school, so music just wasn't my thing. I've always been a songwriter but I didn't think anything of it. It was ingrained in me from a very young age to go to school, make good grades, graduate college and get a good job. So that's what I did. I went to college and majored in Hospitality Administration (Restaurant Management/Preparation) and Spanish. I graduated and worked in my degree field. I ventured out in 2009 to pursue music and it has been an up and down relationship with us, but everytime I try to "break up" with music, she just finds a way to make it back into my heart.

What's it like being born in Dallas and moving to Cali?

JURNI:
DIFFERENT!!! I'm still getting acclimated to Los Angeles. I LOVE the city. But I came out here with one suitcase, my guitar and $200 and I had spent $75 my first day in the city! LOL. I had no idea what I was going to do. People from Dallas was like "how is the music going out there?" and I was like "BIIIIISSSHHH! I'm just trying to survive out here!" It's a hustler city for sure. You can't come out here half stepping. So, I got on my grind, found a friend to stay with for six weeks, started working, got my Cali license, bought a car, found an apartment and now I'm doing ok. It's a sink or swim type thing. I'm not swimming YET, but I'm treading water. I'm about to hit this music scene like BOOM, so stay tuned. Muah!
