GOLDEN S.T.H. INTERVIEW

• Please tell us your name and how you came about having this name.

My Artistic Identity as I like to call it is Golden. I gave myself this name after contemplating how my art made me feel and the feeling I wanted to give to the people who embraced it.  I also realized that it gives me that feeling of wanting to stare directly into the sun. Since I cannot because the sun is so powerful, you still reap the benefits of the rays...thus I came up with Golden. I want people to benefit from my art and soak in my artistic rays.

• How long have you been an artist? Do you write? Produce? Engineer?

Yes, I am a writer. I’ve been a spoken word poet for four years and I decided branch into the art of blending rap/poetry/and beats about two years ago.

·         Are you signed? Who are you affiliated with musically?

No I am currently not signed but my musical affiliations include Dungeon Family Generation X and C9

• What are your goals as an artist in this competitive industry?

My goal as an artist is to inspire! Create! And Motivate! As long as I can change a life for the better, I am happy. I know that as I continue to grow, the platform will grow and I will touch more and more people.

• Where do you see your career in the next 5 years?

In the next five years I see myself performing with great women like SassySingz, Erykah Badu, and Lauryn Hill to name a few.

• What song (s) are you currently promoting and how did this song come about?

I'm currently promoting my first release,  “What ah Feeling” from my upcoming project “Soular Eclipse” set for release this year. This track came about as a result of the art that I miss in Hip Hop; The art of storytelling. I want to talk about things that my listeners have been through or can relate to. Regardless if they’re male or female.

• Do you feel that your hustle is being supported?  Why or why not?  

I feel like my hustle is supported by those who are aware of it. Exposure is the key and building a strong team is the focus.

• For the people that have never met you, how would you describe yourself?

I’d describe myself as a GoldenButtafly, a spirit that shines, loves to meet and network with people who are trying to make something of not only themselves but their community as well.

• So what do your current fans and future fans have to look forward too? What are you working on? Who are you working with? Upcoming events?

My fans have an amazing project to look forward to. A unique body of work composed of Poetry, Floetry and artistic creations. This project will be produced by Young McFly, Rem and many others.
